Dream Office

You've recently inherited a large sum of money, well enough to take care of yourself and your family for at least a few years without working, but not enough to retire on. In the mean time you've decided to quit work for now, design your dream office and take your writing to the next level.

I want to know what would be in your dream office. Describe your ideal writing conditions, assuming you had the money to pay for it.

What I would have is simply more of what I have now. SO
More space for more books, art on the wall, and candles for more atmosphere.

I am pretty happy with my desk-I found an old World War 2 era thing, the inside label calls it a victory desk and has a slogan about winning the war.
But I do need to refinish it again and I could use a new computer one of these days-so If I had the large sum you are talking about I would do some of my upgrades and refurbishings.
Soundproofing a wall ain't a bad idea either.

I'm actually renovating the top of my turret to be my new writing space. I'm so excited!

I love this scenario... my dream office would be a cottage on an ocean cliff, silence beyond environment, and a laptop.

My setup isn't too bad now, but I'd like a bigger TV (yes, I write with the TV on) and surround sound for the stereo. Add a small fridge and I'd almost never leave the room.

Thanks for visiting my blog!!! I'm excited I visited your blog today I love dreaming about an awesome office!

I would like to a room where my desk is against the wall of the windows (windows start where my desk ends of course!) I am over-looking the woods, tall trees. I have my desk covered in the perfect design of my choice and my long desk has my laptop a place for snacks and a ton of space for books! Add a few bookshelves and my space is complete!

A beat-up, dusty, Azonix-grade laptop in the back of a Herkimer Battle Jitney after we've scoured the landscape of zombies. (Being the apocalypse, natch, there's no economy, barely any trade, which means I can finally write only to amuse myself--no pressure, no expectations, just the rhythm of my fingers and a whole lot of "and then what happened?" as we bump along the blighted terrain...

Lots of sunlight and floor to ceiling bookshelves on the walls. It would be an office/library because being surrounded by books inspires me.

in my dream office... I would have one big wall full of books (classic, mythology, and books from all genre--- my own library wall) I would also like a big window with a view of the ocean, a corner desk with fresh flowers and my blackberry.

Well, I don't really like being shut in. I like couches and lots of light. Sunlight. And a desk for my paper work, close by, would be nice.
