Inspiration

After a failed attempt at painting the Hellsing portrait, I decided to fall back on my drawing to boost my confidence back up. I realize that I'm still just a beginning in painting, but I am very hard on myself, due to my perfectionist nature.

Anyhow, I decided to draw a portrait of Aphrodite IX, a MC in the same named comic series. The original picture of this was drawn by comic artist David Finch. I did my best to draw it only by looking at a picture. This is what I came up with. Draw time was approximately 1 hour. It's way easier to draw a picture than to write a novel lol. You authors have my deepest respect!!

P.S. The circle on her cheek is a tattoo.

Good job.

I love comics but have never read Aphrodite IX, just heard of it. Some kind of sci-fi type assassin tale isn't it?

I do both and sometimes that's debatable!

I can't draw a lick.

David: I actually don't follow the comic itself. I found this, because I purchased "the Art of Top Cow," which had a ton of comic book artists' work. This was one of the things I found. The character looks cool though, I just couldn't help it.
