Your Literary Tattoo

I ran into an article that talked about an author who, after some success, made a point of getting a tattoo on himself that says "New York Times Best Seller."

This leads me to wonder, if you succeed as a writer, what would your tattoo say?

Or, is there anything wild or crazy you've promised yourself "if you make it?"

Not into tattoos, but maybe a trip to Vegas?

The sad truth: My nearly-sixty-year-old mother has tattoos and I don't. She also has multiple piercings and I don't. She is from the generation that had to wear skirts to school, and I am from the generation that that is so random it had to be labeled with a simple X. What the hell?

*hangs head in shame*

Okay, moving on to the question at hand...

I would love to get a tattoo like that, but now the idea's already taken. Fail. I've always wanted a spiderweb tattoo, and I might just do that if my one sci-fi novel (full of mutant bugs, of course) ever gets published. Seems appropriate.

And how about a new pair of shoes for every story in print? A woman can never have enough shoes.

word ver: shing

Haven't got a clue what that is, but it sure is a fun word to say. Try it.

You hooked me with the picture, and had me with the question. I've often pondered about this, and I've concluded that I would get either the opening line, or the query of my novel.

The first thing on muy mind was "I support Literacy-I read Megan Fox."

As for me i can't think of anything too wild or crazy but I do want a personal library bigger than my hometowns and have it decorated with various eclectic stuff the piques my intrests-lots of swords, maybe a few suits of armor how about an old cannon too? You know as a doorstop.

No tattoos for me. I think they make people look dirty, or unclean. But, I think I'd take a trip to Europe...(after the ash settles)

When I get published I am getting myself a tat of a Viking ship.

don't like tattoos on me either. I might tattoo my car. It would probably say something like, "Best mom, wife, and author ever." :)

maybe mine would say: "I'm Rich, I'm rich, I'm rich."

If i became an author that would be a miracle in it's self, but I would get "veni vidi vici" said by famous Julius Caesar "I came I saw I conquered."

Mine would say..."Washes off with soap!" :)

Ha! I have five tats, but the one I'm DEFINITELY adding when I get pubbed is an image of Samurai Jack and the words "JUMP GOOD". It'll remind me of the episode when he was all amazed at these creatures who could, like, spring some 80 feet into the air, and he was thinking it was all profound and magic and that they could fly. They said, "No. We just jump good." Then they showed him how to do it -- by months and months of plyometric muscle training (and a music montage. Gotta love the montages). And when Haku found him and was like, "Wow, you fly!" Samurai Jack was like, "No. Jump good." The message of simple hard work couched in an episode of animated awesome. That sums up writing for me:D Great post!!
