I thought this would be a fun set of questions for everyone. This is all opinion of course, so it is ok no matter what your answer is. Be completely honest with me here!

Whatever reason you have for it being Best or Worst is fine... Best could mean a myriad of things to different people, I'm just curious what you all have to say here.

Best from childhood: Ender's Game - b/c it had one of the best endings ever, IMO.
Worst: don't know most of their names, but usually stopped reading/listening really early on (one I do recall is City of Bones -- hated the writing -- and wasn't surprised to see it endorsed by SM).
I REALLY need to read Ender's Game already... I've heard a TON of good feedback about it.

I just can't pick an all time favorite, but my favorite in the last year was Hunger Games. The story was just so intriguing. Least favorite...Breaking Dawn.
Candice, I've been trying to read Hunger Games, but it's always checked out at the library. I might have to break down and buy it.
I'm with Bane in terms of not remembering the worst books. Mostly because I stop reading them early on and never think about the authors again. Although, I can say the worst book I've recently finished would be Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre. I found it completely unsettling and I'm not exactly sure why.
Favorite book? Barbara Kingsolver's Bean Trees. If only I could write like Ms. Kingsolver!
I don't think I can narrow down any one book as the greatest. The book that has captured my imagination the longest and will remain a staple is The Hobbit.
Worst? I don't know if I could say what is the worst one I have ever read (same reason as above) but while I think Dan Brown has some great idea's, I hate his execution and writing style = too many cheap fake outs and the same formula's for every book.

Best in the last year or so: Hunger Games, hands down. Loved it so much I've read it three times in less than a year.
Best over-all series: The Bartamaeus Trilogy.
Worst: I know it, but won't say it because it would be unfair to the author. Needless to say, the book was horrible. Poor plot, bad dialogue and nasty, over-written similes, metaphors and descriptors. Ugh!
It's ok to have an opinion that a book was bad. It is not unfair to the author. They should hear the negative criticism or they'll never improve their writing.
