A Few Things

First of all, I wanted to say Merry Christmas from me (since I celebrate Christmas) and Happy Holidays to you (Since I have no idea what/if you celebrate).

Second of all, I received an award from Diana Paz, called "From Me to You." Thank you VERY much! I love comments and I'm honored to receive any awards or shout outs people send my way. According to the award stipulations, I'm supposed to share 7 facts about myself. So, here they are.

1. I am a type 1 diabetic. I was diagnosed at 8 years old and have been struggling with it my whole adult life.

2. I was born and raised LDS or Mormon, for 18 years, then left the church before I was supposed to go on a mission and eventually dedicated my life to Christ as a non-denominational Christian about 1 year later. You could call me a Born-Again Christian if you want to lable me lol.

3. I spent 3 weeks by myself on a personal vacation to Tokyo, Japan. I have loved Japan and everything about it since I was a young boy. I followed that passion and made my dream come true by saving money and going there.

4. I think baby animals are so much more adorable than baby humans.

5. When I was 15 years old, I went fishing and picked up some kind of poison from the water and ended up in the hospital for a month and a half. I was on death's door. Imagine me, 6ft tall and I weight 90lbs. Not fun!

6. I'm addicted to Dr. Pepper...(I know, I know. Bad diabetic)

7. I've been going to school at Glendale Community College off and on since I was 16 years old. Still don't have my degree since I've spaced out my classes so much.

Also, in order for an award to be considered special, I believe it should be given out lightly. I see some awards with suggestions on them to be passed to 15 other bloggers etc... In my opinion, it takes away from the award-aspect, if everyone gets it. SO, I'm awarding it to only 1 blogger. My award goes to one of my newest blogger friends, Stephanie Damore, that I had the pleasure of getting to know better yesterday through her chat party.

Okay, now I feel real special. Thanks so much for the award. I'll be sure to pass it on (of course after I'm done watching Legend of Neil). Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas. So were you drinking the fishing water?

Steph: You are welcome. I had fun btw.

Stephanie: Yes she does and yeah, too bad you couldn't make it, but I'll host the next one and you can catch up then :)

David: LOL, no I wasn't drinking it, but apparently I got it on my hands and I didn't wash my hands thoroughly enough before eating that night.

Baby animals are WAY cuter than baby humans. I'm with you there. :)

Oh my gosh Void, you have such great answers I'm so glad you played!! Thank you thank you :)

Okay, so working backwards...

You go to GCC? Explain mon ami, I live fairly close and my lil' sis goes there... I knew you were west coast but I didn't know you were in Cali too! Unless I misunderstood at Steph's chat party, which I might have. My brain, such a knucklehead.

Dr. Pepper is an acceptable alternative to my fave, Cherry Coke. Have you tried cherry vanilla diet Dr. Pepper?

Gross on the fishing disease. And sorry :( See? This is why I don't go fishing.

I love baby mammals, they are THE cutest animals in the world. Even cats, which I generally hate, are so cute as babies! Yes on baby mammals! No on most other baby animals... baby birds are cute.

Awww on making your Japan dream come true! I dream about visiting Spain. The history, the architecture, sigh. Someday. As a reward for publication ha ha.

I was born and quasi-raised Catholic (my family put me through the sacraments but don't otherwise practice). Just before confirmation (happens around 15) I decided not commit to something I wasn't sure about. I studied every religion I could, including LDS (and Jehovah's Witness, and Hindu, and you-name-it). In the end the one I connected with the most was Catholic, ha ha hahahaha!

Omg so sorry about your diabetes! My sister's fiance was diagnosed at age two, he has a monitor thing on his belly, (poor crazy kids, my sister is not the nurturing type). He cheats too (hehe, with soda, I mean. Gosh they aren't even married yet!).

LOL Diana. Funny stuff. As for the GCC, I live in the Phoenix, Arizona area, so we have a Glendale community college out here too... I only recently learned Cali had a Glendale too, so yeah.

And yeah, I do the cherry Dr. Pepper, but not the Vanilla stuff

Ha ha that is hilarious! Thanks for clearing up the Arizona thing. I was like, "He said AZ in the chat room... is that code for somewhere in the valley??" I'm egocentric enough to think there could ONLY be one Glendale in the entire universe.

Cherry ANYTHING is dreamy, sssslurp!

Merry Christmas Eve... must get back to baking :)
